Almost every college and major at UConn is represented throughout the UCMB. Of more than 330 members in the UCMB, only about 1/6 major in music. The band helps students develop a work ethic that carries over to their studies and careers.

Winter Percussion

With the close of the fall season of Marching Band, the battery and front ensemble continue to develop as a cohesive group through the Winter Percussion Ensemble. This group rehearses twice a week, focusing on development of musical and visual technique with the application of skills through exercises and show music.

Recently the group has balanced a focus on musical development with preparation of short performances that can be seen in the Greater Hartford area at events like the annual Percussive Arts Society CT Chapter Day of Percussion, United States Association of Rudimental Drummers Convention, select performances at Gampel Pavilion, as well as clinics at local high schools and inner-city outreach programs.

If you are interested in joining or visiting a rehearsal, please contact Tyler Campbell for more information tcamp392@gmail.com
